Sam's Story
Sam Holden, a solicitor at Brachers, recently ran 7km around London to raise funds for the Gorilla Organization. Here's why he did it:
On 27th September 2008 I ran 7km (4.5 miles) around the City of London to help raise a massive amount of money for The Gorilla Organization. On the up side, I got the chance to spend a couple of hot, hairy, sweaty hours dressed as my favourite primate!
Why am I doing this? Apart from a jolly good giggle, a memory of a lifetime and a chance to see Bill Odie, I am doing this to raise money for the Gorilla Organization to help protect the beautiful mountain gorillas. And if the animal cause isn't enough, in undertaking their core aim, the charity also preserves the African environment (so that's the "green" tick) and also improves the lives of the local people, via education and resource (and that's the "human" tick).
