Philip trained and worked in the City for several years before moving to Switzerland and becoming vice-president of Swisscom AG with responsibility for international investments in telecoms businesses in Europe, India and the Far East. He has served on the boards of several companies worldwide most notably in Delhi and in Kuala Lumpur (for a listed telecoms company). Recently he has been engaged in projects in the US and Latin America acquiring knowledge and expertise of the biofuels industry. He has wide experience of joint ventures, acquisitions, disposals, equity and debt offerings and general corporate and commercial work.
Focuses on representing key clients such as Rail Europe and Fuji Seal Europe in heavyweight commercial and construction-related disputes.

Michael specialises in larger commercial disputes focusing on complex, high value matters and handles a breadth of work ranging from general contract cases to construction and engineering matters, intellectual property and defamation. His clients are diverse, encompassing the insurance sector, local government, international businesses, regional NHS trusts and also smaller enterprises.
Paul qualified in 1984 and reached partner status before moving to in-house company work. He has worked as a solicitor for ICI and Octel and was the senior lawyer at Hays plc, dealing with a broad range of corporate, M&A, company and commercial work.
Sean trained with Brachers and qualified in 2006. He has experience of advising a variety of regional, national and international clients in relation to buying and selling businesses and companies in addition to a wide range of other corporate and commercial matters. Sean also has experience of the recruitment industry, having spent time with a leading international legal recruitment consultancy.

Matthew joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in September 2006 after completing his LPC at the College of Law. He read Law at University College London and subsequently gained an LL.M (Masters) in Commercial & Corporate Law specialising in Corporate Insolvency and International Business Transactions. Matthew previously worked within the transport industry for a multinational company and since joining Brachers has spent time in our Corporate & Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Employment and Environmental & Planning teams.

Neil graduated from Nottingham University with a Joint Honours degree in Law and Politics in 2002. He then spent time travelling and worked in the public sector as a Counter Fraud Specialist before completing the LPC at Nottingham Law School in 2005/06. Neil joined Brachers in September 2006 and has worked with the Dispute Resolution, Personal Injury and Commercial Property teams. He is currently working with the Corporate and Commercial Team.
