Licensing

The Licensing Act 2003 brought about a substantial change in the regulation of licensed premises for the sale of alcohol, the provision of entertainment and late night refreshment. This included a change in the definition of "licensable activity", creating separate premises and personal licences, new obligations and criminal offences.

Brachers advise and assist clients in relation to all aspects of licensing. In addition Brachers Property, Corporate & Commercial, Planning and Employment teams provide our clients with the full support and assistance they require in relation to property, commercial and employment issues that arise in licensing matters.

This "highly receptive and proficient" licensing team enters the rankings thanks to its growing presence in the market and its work for notable clients such as Charlton Athletic Football Club and the Kent County Agricultural Society, which it advised on exhibitions and county shows.
