Lease Extensions, Purchasing the Landlord’s Interest and Right to Manage

The law relating to leases is complex and gives rise to much confusion. Over the years, a body of laws have been introduced to give householders rights either to extend their long leases or manage the running and upkeep of their buildings or in some cases to acquire a freehold interest, usually jointly with others in the same building.

At Brachers we have long experience of advising both landlords and tenants on all aspects of lease law so that the process runs smoothly to achieve a positive result.

If you are a landlord we can help you make the most of your investments within the limits of the legislation whether by selling extended lease terms or selling the freehold subject to these leases.

Acting for leaseholders we are always aware of the difficulties of coordinating groups of busy occupiers and the remote investor leaseholders.

We offer pragmatic and cost effective advice and can often come out to meet you if that suits your circumstances.
