Disbursements are costs other than your solicitor’s time that need to be incurred to make a claim. These can include medical records and expert’s fees for example. Unlike some firms, we will normally pay for these expenses for you during the claim and just recover them from the other side at the end. In case your claim fails and we cannot recover the disbursements we can usually in nearly all cases we should be able to arrange insurance at no cost to you if you do not already have the benefit of before the event legal expenses insurance. The insurance would cover your liability for disbursements.
