Will making a claim affect my benefits?
If you are receiving means tested state benefits these could be affected by compensation money you get from your claim, depending on applicable capital limits for the benefits. Also currently (as at March 2008) if you spend your compensation money within 12 months it should not affect social security benefits anyway.
