Eleanora Newbery
I am a solicitor specialising in family law and qualified in 2008 after completing my training with the family team at Brachers. During my training I also completed seats in commercial and residential property and private client (wills and trusts) so I have good knowledge of those areas.
I work on a wide variety of matrimonial cases ranging from low asset cases to highly complex high value cases involving business and trust assets. My particular interest is in child contact and residence cases. I have solid experience in acting for children in care proceedings and in prosecuting RSPCA cases which mean that I am very experienced in advocacy in court. I specialise in Child Maintenance Service/CSA cases from both resident and non-resident parent perspectives.
I am known for being conscientious, thorough and approachable. I aim to get the best settlements for my clients taking into account the entire family circumstances.
I read history at the University of Durham and went on to study at Guildford College of law where I undertook a conversion course and Legal Practice Course which I passed with distinction. I was awarded a Diploma in Litigation in December 2011.
I am a member of Resolution and a committee member of Young Kent Resolution.
At the weekends I volunteer at a child contact centre. In my spare time I am learning French and I enjoy running and participating in pub quizzes.
