Joanna Simpson
I grew up in Kent and graduated from the University of Reading with BA (Hons) in History. I subsequently commenced full time employment in the property department of a local firm of solicitors whilst also studying the GDL part time. In 2009 I began work as a full time paralegal at an international facilities management company based in the City; during this time I studied the LPC part time at the College of Law, London.
In September 2011 I commenced my training contract with Brachers and I have now begun my fourth and final seat in the Employment Team. I am looking forward to building upon the previous experience of my last three seats and to the new challenges that qualification will bring. My training so far has given me an insight into a huge variety of work and I have worked on high quality matters since day one.
I am a member of the Law Society and the Law Society Junior Lawyers Division.
Outside of work I love to travel and have been lucky enough to experience 4 weeks in China, travelling from Beijing to Hong Kong. Enjoying country life, I have been horse riding since a young age and I also play the piano. Since joining Brachers I have joined a local netball team, which has afforded me the opportunity of letting my competitive streak loose and has also been a brilliant way of meeting new people. My future plans include perfecting my baking skills to the standard of contestants on “The Great British Bake Off”…….which will perhaps take some time!
