Mary Raymont

I am a family law solicitor and have been specialising in divorce and other family disputes for over 20 years. I am a trained collaborative lawyer.

I am also a family mediator . I have a mediation practice in Maidstone and I mediate about financial and children matters.

I specialise in high value financial cases particularly involving businesses and professional individuals.

I work closely with other professionals such as company accountants, independent financial advisors, pension experts and chartered surveyors. I also specialise in cases involving children and teenagers including Residence and Contact, Adoption and Special Guardianship . I work closely with independent social workers, children’s guardians, psychiatrists and psychologists counsellors and therapists.

I started my legal career as a paralegal at Herbert Smith in the city and then moved to Penningtons where I completed my training contract specialising in family law. I came to Brachers upon qualification in 1992.

I am a member of Resolution and promote the Resolution Code of Practice. I am also a member of the Association of Lawyers for Children. I am on the Specialist Law Society Children Panel and the Law Society Advanced Family Law Panel as well as the Resolution Family Law Panel.

I have two children, am married and live in Kent.
