Sean Gorman
I advise clients on all areas of corporate finance and banking, including business sales, purchases and debt and equity investment, loan facilities and security.
I have acted on buyer, seller and lender sides of transactions and therefore understand the interests of all parties. I have advised on the following example transactions:
A £7m management buy-out and a linked £2.7m reinvestment relating to a national travel company.
A staged £13m acquisition of a Kent-based manufacturing business by a French multi-national.
The £12m sale of the business and assets of a Kent-based manufacturing company by way of competitive tender process.
A £3m sale of a Kent-based telecommunications billing company to a large national plc.
Brachers is a member of the Kent Corporate Finance Alliance and I regularly attend meetings. I am also a founder member of Advance Maidstone, a group of corporate-focused local professionals.
I grew up in Maidstone, attending Maidstone Grammar School. I studied Law with European Legal Systems at the University of East Anglia, Norwich and Universiteit Maastricht The Netherlands, prior to completing the academic stage of my training at at The College of Law, Guildford. Outside law, I have experience of working in construction, leisure and in particular recruitment, having spent time with a leading international legal recruitment firm.
Outside the office, you are likely to find me listening to music (or playing guitar badly), playing football or watching films. I also have a weakness for shiny cars. I have been described as having an “encyclopaedic knowledge of music”. I am yet to decide if this is a criticism or a compliment.
