Village Greens
We have acted on a number of occasions to defend applications for village greens. Supporters of the claim normally provide evidence that there has been twenty years’ user for public recreation or leisure pursuits. The landowner then has to counter this with evidence of his or her own. The determining authority then normally decides to hear the matter by way of an informal public inquiry. The decision of the determining authority is open to challenge in the High Court as well.
