Brachers has advised on the sale of Farmura Environmental to Aquatrols Corporation of America.
Farmura, based in Ashford, is a manufacturer and distributor of environmentally aware turf fertiliser products in the UK and Europe. Its clients include seven of the nine published Championship courses.
The transaction team at Brachers was led by head of corporate James Bullock and Matt Simmonds, corporate associate. John Cowie of Reeves Corporate Finance acted as lead advisor on the sale. Aquatrols is a US-headquartered manufacturer of technologies for global turf and crop production businesses.
Farmura managing director Jonathan Harmer said:
“We have known Aquatrols for many years and we have often talked about joining the two businesses together. I hadn’t appreciated the amount of work which would go into the process so I am delighted that, with the help of Reeves and Brachers, we have achieved it.”
Bullock added: “We were delighted to advise the shareholders of Farmura Environmental on its successful sale to Aquatrols. The parties had worked closely together since 2007. Their shared values and goals have helped both businesses to grow. In many ways, this transaction is the culmination of the hard work all concerned since 2007 and is the start of a very exciting time for both businesses.”
