Brachers has shown ongoing support to the agriculture sector through another year of sponsoring the Weald of Kent Ploughing Match and the East Kent Ploughing Match.
Brachers has been a keen supporter of the Ploughing Matches for many years. The Weald of Kent Ploughing Match will take place on Saturday 17 September at New Barn Farm in Hawkenbury, Kent and the East Kent Ploughing Match on Wednesday 28 September at Stoneheap Farm in Deal, Kent.
The vibrant and growing events are well supported by the local agricultural and allied trades. Alongside the ploughing competitions, events and activities at this year’s shows will include clay pigeon shooting, a gymkhana and local farmers’ market. Members of the Brachers Agriculture and Rural team will also be available to speak to clients and visitors in the Brachers marquees throughout the day.
We are also pleased to announce that the Kent County Agricultural Society (KCAS) will be joining us in our Brachers Marquees.
Sarah Gaines, the firm’s head of the Agriculture and Rural team, commented: “I am delighted to confirm that Brachers will be attending both the Weald of Kent Ploughing Match and the East Kent Ploughing Match again this September. The events are a staple of the region’s rural calendar and I look forward to using them as an opportunity to catch up with many of our agricultural clients and friends of Brachers.”
Brachers’ sponsorship of the Ploughing Matches is the latest agricultural event the firm has supported in recent months. In March Brachers exhibited at Farm Expo, with Agriculture and Rural team member Sarah Mannooch delivering a speaking session at the event focussing on succession planning in farming businesses. Brachers is also a longstanding supporter of the Kent County Show, which attracted thousands of visitors to the Kent Showground in Detling last week.
