  • Brachers celebrates appointment as only law firm in South East to deliver legal services via NHS Commercial Solutions Legal Services Framework.

The firm is contracted to the framework for a period of four years, delivering legal services to the NHS across six selected areas:

    • Corporate & Commercial
    • Employment Law
    • Property Law
    • Health Law
    • Primary Care Law
    • NHS Governance and Public Law

NHS Commercial Solutions is a collaborative procurement organisation, providing strategic procurement and commercial support to all NHS organisations, and to local authorities and wider public sector organisations.

NHS Commercial Solutions is part of ‘NHS Procurement in Partnership’, a four-Hub collaboration with East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub, NHS North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative and NHS London Procurement Partnership, supporting around 240 NHS member organisations. In total 19 firms have been appointed to the framework, with only five being regionally based.

John Sheath, Head of Healthcare at Brachers commented: “We’re thrilled to have been re-awarded a place on the framework, following a very competitive tender process. We are pleased to have been successful on all lots we tendered for and we believe the quality of service and added value benefits that the agreement will deliver will be welcomed across the hub. The NHS works hard to provide a high standard of care against the backdrop of funding squeezes, lifestyle changes and an aging population, not to mention the looming impact of Brexit. We’re excited to be working closely with the NHS Commercial Solutions and their customers and partners as they navigate through these challenges.”

The appointment is a significant success for the firm and follows multiple accolades pertaining to their work with healthcare providers, including being ranked in the top tier for Health work by leading legal directory the Legal 500, being shortlisted for Legal Provider of the Year at the General Practice Awards and the firm’s Head of Healthcare, John Sheath, being inducted into the Legal 500’s Hall of Fame.
