Brachers has been shortlisted in the British Wills and Probate Awards 2020, in the ‘Private Client Team of the Year’ category. The firm is just one of three legal practices to be shortlisted for the award.
The Private Client Team of the Year award category recognises a private client team within a law firm who works in collaboration to provide the best service to their clients, and who can demonstrate how they work together to contribute to the overall firm’s success.
Brachers’ Private Client team comprises 25 members and is one of the largest in the South East. When lockdown was announced, the team reacted quickly and used this period as an opportunity to innovate; launching an extended hours scheme to give flexibility to key workers and those home-schooling children. The team have been supporting clients throughout this difficult period by conducting meetings via video calls and have responded to those unable to travel by visiting their homes at times convenient to them – including bank holidays, evenings and weekends.
Commenting on the shortlisting, Christopher Eriksson-Lee, Head of the Private Client team, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award which reflects the hard work of the team over the last year. During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, our team have gone above and beyond to support clients by increasing our service offering through initiatives such as out-of-hours video conferences and online platforms to help clients through this difficult time. This recognition is all the more pleasing in our 125th anniversary year.”
Private Client Partner, Alexandra Gordon, added: “This is such a fantastic achievement and an absolute credit to the hard work of every single member in the team. We have had such an exciting year and it’s been so incredible to see everyone pull together, especially over the last few months.”
The winners of the British Wills and Probate Awards 2020 will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony on 22 October 2020, hosted by Jennie Bond.
The award shortlisting is the latest in a series of accolades the firm has received this year. There has been recognition and success for a number of Brachers teams and individuals, including the Credit Excellence Awards 2020, Kent Law Society Awards 2020, National Paralegal Awards 2020 and Managing Partners’ Forum Awards 2020.
Brachers’ Private Client team were also recently again ranked highly in the latest edition of the Chambers High Net Worth Guide.
