• Brachers has been shortlisted in the ‘Best community programme’ category at the Managing Partners’ Forum Awards 2022. This is the third consecutive year the firm has been recognised in these prestigious awards.

Now in its twentieth year, the Managing Partners’ Forum Awards, with knowledge partners Harvard Business Review and the Financial Times, is extending its recognition of management achievement to professional services firms worldwide.

The judging process involves rigorous independent evaluation of initiatives that show superior business practices, support to clients, and community engagement. Over 200 firms worldwide have entered to date, many on multiple occasions.

Brachers’ 2022 submission focussed on the firm’s Community Relations Committee’s work supporting Time for the Homeless, our current Charity of the Year.

The aim of forming a specific Community Relations Committee at the beginning of 2021 was to help improve internal engagement with supporting and raising funds for the Charity of the Year and empowering staff to lead on charity and community initiatives, by giving them more autonomy to do so.

Brachers has been shortlisted alongside Arthur Cox, iResearch, Shoosmiths, Strook, Strook & Lavan, and William Fry.

Commenting on the shortlisting, Managing Partner Joanna Worby said: “It is an honour to see Brachers again be shortlisted in this prestigious awards scheme, alongside some very impressive organisations.

Our Community Relations Committee have been doing a wonderful job delivering a campaign of internal engagement to encourage charity volunteering and donations and raising external awareness to highlight Time for the Homeless’ valuable work, as well as providing practical support in areas where the charity does not have the resources themselves.”

The award winners will be announced at the Managing Partners’ Forum Awards ceremony on Wednesday 15 June.

This is the second awards success in a week for the firm. Brachers has also been shortlisted in one firmwide and three individual categories at this year’s Kent Law Society Awards 2022, which recognises excellence in the legal profession in Kent.
