• Brachers is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Kent Charity Awards 2022 for the second year. Brachers’ Head of Private Client, Christopher Eriksson-Lee and Head of the Elderly and Vulnerable team, Mary Rimmer, will also return as judges for the second year.

The Kent Charity Awards was set up in 2015 to recognise and reward the hard work of charities, volunteers and trustees working in Kent. Since then, the awards have gone from strength to strength and are now an essential date in the diaries of those in the charity and NFP sector.

Entering the awards can provide an opportunity for charitable organisations and individuals to gain exposure, increase stakeholder funding and can also be great for staff morale. In an area where people often work tirelessly to help make the lives of others better, receiving recognition can be a tremendous boost.

Christopher Eriksson-Lee, Partner and Head of Private Client said: “Brachers is proud to sponsor the Kent Charity Awards for the second year running. It was a pleasure to be involved in judging the awards last year and seeing first-hand the incredible work of charities and volunteers in our region.

Charitable giving is an important part of what we do at Brachers, and we have long supported the community in which we have been part of for 125 years. Many of our lawyers offer their free time to volunteering roles, charitable work and pro bono advice, and as a firm we provide free advice for charities through our events and webinars for the charity sector. Personally, I am proud to work with charitable trusts including West Kind Mind, the RNLI and the Schools for Yirgaalem Fund. Best of luck to all those who enter the awards and I look forward to reading this year’s submissions!”

Susan Robinson, Partner at Kreston Reeves and Head Judge said: “The Kent Charity Awards are already a great celebration of the work of the charity sector within our local communities, be it on a county basis or more locally. Charities have had a challenging two years, and there may be more to come; the need for their services is increasing against a background of reduced income.

The judges are looking forward to receiving entries reflecting the varied and important work that charities do. We are all proud to be sponsors of these great local awards.”

The awards are free to enter and open to charities both large and small who operate in Kent. Charities must submit their application before Monday 6 June 2022 to be included in this year’s awards. A full list of categories can be found at kentcharityawards.com.
