Brachers’ legal expertise has been commended by the leading legal directory The Legal 500, with the firm being ranked in 14 practice areas, including five top tier rankings, and 32 lawyers recommended by the guide.
The Legal 500 has been analysing the capabilities of law firms across the world for 35 years. Its directory highlights the practice area teams that provide the most cutting edge and innovative advice to individuals and businesses.
Research carried out by The Legal 500 is based on feedback from 300,000 clients worldwide, submissions from law firms, interviews with leading private practice lawyers, and a team of researchers. More than four million users visit the Legal 500 website each year and this guide offers those buying legal services in the UK, reliable and up-to-date information on law firms.
This year Brachers saw five practice areas ranked in the highest tier possible; Commercial Property, Corporate and commercial, Debt recovery, Personal tax, trust and probate and Public sector. Overall, all but two of the firm’s rankings fell into the top and second tiers.
Client feedback described Brachers as “Easy and readily available to approach”. Other feedback included “They totally get what the client needs and deliver a quality work product with minimal fuss.” The directory also noted the firm as “sensitive, discreet, warm, personable and efficient” while still being “An experienced, knowledgeable and personable team able to hold their own against the best regional firms.”
Of the 32 individuals recognised by the directory, Partners Graham Wallis, Sarah Gaines and Allis Beasley all maintained their titles of ‘leading individuals’. Alexandra Gordon and Mary Rimmer maintained their titles as a ‘next generation partners.’ The firm is also celebrating three new individual rankings, with Deborah Cain recognised as a ‘leading lawyer’, Mei-Ling McNab as a ‘leading individual’ and Katherine Morgan as a ‘rising star’, all for the first time.

Joanna Worby, Managing Partner, said: “I am very pleased to see so many of our teams and lawyers recognised by the Legal 500 this year, and in particular to have three of our colleagues receive individual rankings for the first time. These rankings are so important because they are heavily influenced by our clients and it’s testament to our staff’s commitment to delivering the highest quality of service and care that we have received such high praise once again this year. I’m very proud that we have received such positive recognition across the board.”
