Low Pay Commission consultation on national minimum wage rates
At the end of July the Low Pay Commission (LPC) publisheded a consultation seeking views on the proposed changes to the national minimum wage (NMW) and the introduction of the new National Living Wage (NLW) which was announced in the budget earlier in the month.

At the end of July, the Low Pay Commission (LPC) opened a consultation seeking views on the proposed changes to the national minimum wage (NMW) and the introduction of the new National Living Wage (NLW) which was announced in the budget earlier in the month.
The consultation asks for views on the existing NMW rates, on the possible impact of the NLW and on issues to do with compliance and enforcement.
The consultation closes on 25 September 2015 with a report by the LPC expected by February 2016.
