Amy Lane, a solicitor in our Private Client team, undertook the survey on behalf of the firm which involved answering questions about the purposes of establishing trusts (whether during a client’s lifetime or under the terms of their will), typical trust assets and other tax considerations that are taken into account when considering trust structures. The information will be used to assist HMRC with considering their policy reforms which are due to be published in 2017.
For taking part in the survey, a £50 donation has been made to our charity of the year, The Blackthorn Trust.
