New Employment Tribunal Statistics
Annual Increase in Tribunal Awards
The Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2018 will implement this year’s increase in maximum and minimum Tribunal awards on 6 April 2018.
The headline increases are:
The maximum value of a week’s pay (for redundancy payments and the basic award in unfair dismissal claims) will be £508 (increased from £489).
The maximum compensatory award in unfair dismissal claims will be £83,682 (increased from £80,541)
Other changes made include to trade union-based awards as well as an increase in the limit on guarantee payments from £27 to £28 in respect of any day.
