Over the next two weeks, staff from the firm will take part in a number of fundraising events, collecting money to support the work of the Maidstone based charity. Events include a quiz night, raffle, cake sale and garden games, with staff from across the firm dedicating their time to organising, contributing to and taking part in the activities.
Blackthorn Trust helps people with mental health issues to overcome their difficulties by building self-confidence, gaining life skills and developing a stable support network. The charity provides a range of activities, from a craft workshop to art therapy, and their community café is staffed solely by their clients and volunteers.
Joanna Worby, Managing Partner, said: “We are so pleased to be able to support the work of the Blackthorn Trust, who deliver fantastic support to people in the local area. There is still a stigma surrounding mental health but the work of organisations like the Blackthorn Trust is helping to break down barriers and change public perception around issues that can affect people from every walk of life.”
