Dementia Action Week aims to raise awareness for dementia. This could range from volunteering in your local community for Dementia groups to registering as a Dementia Friend.
As part of this year’s Dementia Action Week, Brachers’ Private Client took an initiative to encourage members of the team to understand more about dementia and become a Dementia Friend. As a result, the team now have eleven registered Dementia Friends, including one Dementia Champion. These Friends will be taking part in workshops and helping families that are suffering with dementia. It also allows our team to be better placed to provide a supportive service to our clients who have dementia.
If you’d like more information on how to get involved with Dementia Action then visit Alzheimer’s Society where you can access a wealth of information about dementia including how to get support if you or a loved one is suffering as well as research, funding and campaigning.
The diagnosis of dementia often prompts people to review their Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. If you would like any more information about our services, please do get in touch.
