Dementia – not only affecting the elderly
A 32 year old woman is battling a rare form a dementia and is one of the youngest people in the country to have contracted the disease, which typically affects people over 80.

The condition has caused rapid deterioration in her condition with her family reporting her personality has been altered beyond recognition.
Being diagnosed with dementia, no matter how old you are, is a frightening prospect which often prompts people to get their affairs in order. However, the young are often not prepared for a debilitating diagnosis such as dementia. The sad situation here highlights the importance of planning, no matter your age, by putting in place a will as well as powers of attorney.
