Part 1 – Before the hearing

This session focuses on the time before the hearing and the stages necessary to prepare the case:-

  • Pre-claim conciliation and ACAS
  • Receiving the form and response times
  • Preliminary hearings – good or bad?
  • Documentation and Bundles
  • The importance of witness statements
  • Settling nerves and meeting Counsel

Part 2 – The hearing

This session focuses on the hearing itself:-

  • The lay out of the Tribunal
  • The roles of those present
  • “Housekeeping”
  • Giving Evidence
  • Submissions and Skeleton arguments
  • The decision
  • Appeals and other applications
