Brachers is delighted to announce that its first female Managing Partner, Joanna Worby, has been recognised in the 2014 Women in Law Awards.
First featured in Lawyer Monthly, June 2014
The awards, organised by Lawyer Monthly, aim to celebrate and highlight achievements of women in the legal profession across the globe. Winners are female legal experts that have influenced the wider legal profession in their jurisdiction. Each vote was compared against a strict set of measurable criteria in order to produce a list of finalists and the eventual winners.
Joanna Worby comments:
“I am pleased to receive this accolade, alongside my peers from all ranks of the legal field, which promotes the role that female lawyers play in the global legal profession. At Brachers, we are very passionate about ensuring everyone at the firm is given the best career opportunity and chance to excel.”
Joanna has picked up a number of honours already this year, appearing in The Lawyer’s prestigious Hot 100 list. She also won the Management/Leadership category at the Kent Women in Business Awards in March. Joanna has worked at Brachers for 23 years, and was formerly head of the firm’s Employment & HR team, underlining her commitment to improving career opportunities for all staff so everyone has the best chance to excel.
