Brachers wins KCFA Deal of the Year with Kreston Reeves

South East law firm Brachers has jointly taken out the prestigious Kent Corporate Finance Alliance Deal of the Year award 2018/9. The all-service law firm shares the win with accounting firm Kreston Reeves for their work with Drink Warehouse.

Brachers Corporate team advised the Kent drinks distributor on private equity investment into it by Percipient Capital, together with two linked acquisitions, in April 2019. The investment will help the business to continue to grow through geographic expansion, developing new and existing customers and adding new revenue streams.

Joanna Worby, Brachers Managing Partner, said the win was testament to the team’s great work:

“It’s fantastic to see Brachers recognised for the work we do and receive this fantastic accolade. Clients are at the heart of everything that Brachers does, so it’s uplifting to see our work with clients recognised in this way, and I want to congratulate Drink Warehouse UK on its successful investment and acquisitions. I also want to praise our Corporate Team, and Kreston Reeves on this win.”

Matthew Simmonds, Brachers Corporate and Commercial Partner added:

“We are delighted to share the KCFA Deal of the Year Award 2018/9 with Kreston Reeves. Both teams worked incredibly hard to get the best possible deal for Drink Warehouse UK and to successfully complete the investment and acquisitions on a tight timescale. Drink Warehouse UK has grown at an incredible rate over the past few years due to the team’s tireless commitment and exceptional service to its clients. The investment and support from Percipient Capital will allow the business to grow further and we look forward to continuing to be part of that journey.”

Drink Warehouse UK was established in 2010 by Mick Curtis and Demis Farley and has become the leading drinks supplier in Kent and surrounding areas. The company was recognised in the London Stock Exchange’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain with other accolades including both winner and runner-up in the recent Kent Mega Growth 50 awards.
