• The managing partner of a leading law firm has been appointed to the board of directors at the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce. Joanna Worby who heads-up South-East law firm Brachers, was sworn onto the board at the Chamber’s annual general meeting on 1 November 2019.

    Jo James, Chief Executive of Kent Invicta Chamber, welcomed Joanna’s skills.

    “We’re delighted to appoint Joanna to the board as she understands the issues facing businesses across the county. Joanna brings many skills to the board and I am sure she will play an important role in supporting our growing membership.”

    Joanna said: “I am very pleased to join the board and to have this opportunity to work more closely with Kent Invicta Chamber and its extensive network to champion our local business community. I pride myself on having a good understanding of the Kent business community which comes from my many years working at a leading law firm in the county.”

    “Giving businesses the confidence to succeed is something I’m passionate about. My membership of the board allows me to better support businesses in the challenges they face ahead of Brexit and an uncertain future. It is my hope that together we can deliver economic growth to the region.”

    The Chamber provides a full range of business support services to businesses in the region and has more than 1,200 members. Kent Invicta Chamber holds in excess of 100 events a year, ranging from informal networking to business exhibitions, and gives a voice to local businesses on issues of national and regional importance.

    Brachers law firm has been a Patron of the Chamber since early 2017.
