    Lorna trained with a local firm, qualifying as a solicitor in September 2006, specialising initially in personal injury law. She worked in this area for 10 years representing claimants in both fast and multi track cases and worked closely with the Court of Protection team where personal injury claimants had a deputyship in place.

    Lorna had a break from legal services in 2017, working in school governance but returned to legal practice in December 2022 in the Brachers private client team. Lorna has a practical and empathetic approach.

    Lorna specialises in:

    • The creation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney and the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney
    • Court of Protection applications including deputyship applications, Trustee Act applications, statutory will applications, Gift approval applications, and looking after the general affairs of the elderly and vulnerable
    • Charity advice also deals with advising charities on choosing the appropriate legal structure and provides a range of advice from set-up to advising on charitable gifts and legacy donations
    • Wills for clients with a wide range of requirements
