Rob is a Partner in the Collections and Recoveries team and oversees the performance of the team. He has over 25 years’ experience and specialises in debts due under Consumer Credit Agreements.
Rob joined Brachers in 1991 and has since worked his way up through the Debt Recovery Team.
Over the years, Rob has handled numerous debts due under Consumer Credit Agreements, including hire purchase, rental agreements, etc. He has also dealt with numerous other situations, ranging from outstanding fees to schools and colleges, to business to business debt.
In 1998 Rob completed his qualifications as a Chartered Legal Executive and subsequently specialised in handling defended actions, appeals, publicity sensitive matters and any case requiring special attention.
Rob joined the management team in 2007 and has since overseen the performance of the team, providing advice and guidance internally within the team, as well as directly to clients. He became a Partner in May 2015.
Rob is actively involved within the Credit Industry and is well known and highly respected, mainly due to his work with the Civil Court Users Association (CCUA).
The members of the CCUA comprise many public utilities, banks, finance houses, debt collection companies, building societies, law firms and in-house litigation departments, issuing over 85% of all legal claims in England and Wales.
Rob has been an officer of the CCUA in various roles since 2007 and since 2015 has been honoured to have been elected annually by the members to the position of Vice Chair.
As part of his duties, Rob meets regularly with officials from HM Ministry of Justice and HM Courts and Tribunals Service, representing the interests of court users.
Rob is also Honorary Secretary of the Creditor Recoveries Liaison Committee which brings together all of the main representative bodies within the creditor sector and meets whenever there are major industry developments to discuss.

Rob is currently overseeing debt recovery and other activities undertaken by the team on over 7000 files with a combined value of over £42.5 million. Cases include everything from large to small debts and from undisputed cases to disputed or complex claims.
