Brachers reappointed to medical negligence defence panel
Scott Alexander has over 25 years’ experience in medical defence litigation, regulatory advice and healthcare law. He leads and has developed the Healthcare & Medical Defence team team which is ranked in the top tier in the Legal 500 directory.
Scott’s extensive expertise is in defending clinicians on behalf of a leading medical defence organisation. He also advises NHS Trusts and medical insurers on a wide range of healthcare matters including Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act enquiries, and consent, capacity and medical treatment issues.
He also has extensive experience of regulatory work on behalf of practitioners before their professional councils and represents clients at inquests. He also acts for Specsavers Optical Group representing Optometrists and other optical professionals before the General Optical Council.
Scott is Brachers’ Training Principle and is responsible for the training and development of the firm’s trainees.
