HR Support Consultant
Kent HR, an independent HR Consultancy owned by Brachers LLP, Solicitors, is looking for an individual to join their expanding team, based in Maidstone, Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a dynamic, integrated team of HR Consultants and Employment Lawyers who have a ‘can do’ approach to providing clients with excellent, added valued HR services and advice.
Our HR Consultancy services are provided to a wide variety of external clients, generally based in and around the South East region. The majority of work involves employee relations issues, including undertaking investigations and supporting clients’ internal processes.
Are you the right person?
We are looking for someone who is looking to develop their career in HR and is keen to gain further qualifications in the profession. Ideally, you will have studied to degree level, working towards CIPD Level 5 and with around 3 years’ practical HR experience.
The role will involve dealing with helpline queries, supporting investigation processes, preparing documentation for clients including policies and handbooks, working with senior HR consultants on complex cases and some business development activities such as article writing and preparing.
To be considered for the role you will have practical experience covering employee relations, performance and absence management, redundancies, grievance and disciplinary investigations and wider experience of recruitment and pay and reward would be of assistance. You will need to be a team player with the ability to multi-task and the desire to provide HR Support to a variety of clients.
You will be confident in using IT applications and may also have experience in using a case management system. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate that you have great communication skills, both oral and written.
This role will involve travel across the Kent and the South East and so a full UK driving license and your own transport will be required.
To be considered for this role you must:
- be working towards CIPD Level 5
- have practical HR experience
- be client focussed and committed to providing the highest level of client care
- want to work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team
- be able to work in a fast moving environment
- be able to work on a wide range of issues or projects simultaneously
- have a desire to provide HR Consultancy support to a variety of clients and appreciate the benefits of engaging with a wide range of organisations including those in healthcare and education sectors and SMEs.
