Case overview

Our client, a pedestrian, suffered a severe fall on private land due to a slope covered in moss and algae, which was deemed unsafe under the Occupiers’ Liability Act 1957.

Legal proceedings

The defendant company admitted liability for the accident and collaborated with Brachers in adhering to the Rehabilitation Code, ensuring our client received the necessary support for his recovery. Injuries suffered

The fall resulted in a fracture to the claimants leg, necessitating surgery to not only re fix the bone with metal plates but  subsequently surgery to not only remove the metal ware in his leg. but also to attempt to remedy shortening of the claimants leg following the severe fracture. Arrangements were made for the claimant to undergo an osteotomy resulting in the  lengthening of his left femur on a private bass. The treatment plan also included extensive physiotherapy and the provision of custom made orthotics to address imbalance in gait despite treatment procedures. .
