Brachers has introduced a redundancy support package for the growing number of businesses having to make difficult decisions about their long-term future
It has widely been reported that the end of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme – known as furlough – will see an increase in redundancies across the UK.
Brachers fixed-fee redundancy support package will aid those who have made the difficult decision to consider redundancies. Brachers’ team of employment law specialists can assist with the redundancy process in a way that is cost effective, efficient and legally compliant.
Catherine Daw, Brachers Partner and Head of Employment, said: “It is unfortunate that many businesses are now having to make some difficult decisions about staffing levels and consider redundancies. We acknowledge that having access to sound advice and practical guidance can make a significant difference to whether a process is compliant and how smoothly it runs.”
“Brachers is offering a variety of means of accessing support including a free online webinar covering redundancies and restructuring, and for those businesses who want specific advice, a range of cost effective packages to support them at this time.”
The new fixed-fee redundancy packages will provide:
- Expert legal guidance to ensure businesses remain legally compliant
- Template documents
- Support to reduce the risk of claims
- Best practice guidance
There are three levels of redundancy package available, depending on the size of the business affected.
The bronze package provides employers with a guide to redundancy involving less than 20 staff in a 90-day period. It also offers template documents, including at risk letter, meeting invite letter, template outcome letter and template selection matrix, as well as telephone advice.
The silver package includes advice on identifying redundancy pools and areas of risk, planning a timetable for consultation, template letters and up to two hours’ advice once the consultation process has started.
The gold package includes strategic advice in planning the process on identifying redundancy pools and selection criteria. It also offers support for planning a timetable for consultation, preparing bespoke consultation documents, including template letters, and specialist legal advice.
Additional add-on services are also available, including:
- Support from Kent HR
- Outplacement support
- Preparing settlement agreements
