Brachers Bitesize: Sexual harassment in the workplace
-
-
In this webinar, Employment Law Senior Associate, Petra Venton takes a look at the new mandatory duty to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace and discusses what steps employers may need to take to comply with this new law.
A new mandatory duty on employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of their employees in the course of their employment comes into force in October. This significant change in employment law requires employers to be proactive in ensuring a safe and respectful workplace environment.
To comply with this duty, employers will need to take proactive steps before October. This includes reviewing and updating policies, providing training to staff, and implementing effective reporting and response mechanisms. Failure to comply with this duty could result in legal claims and significant reputational damage.
