• Brachers’ private client team has triumphed at the 5th annual UK Probate Research Awards 2023, winning Best Private Deputyship Firm.

    The prestigious awards, affectionately known as ‘the Probies’, honour and celebrate those working in probate research and related private client services, including probate researchers, solicitors, paralegals and insurers.

    The Best Private Deputyship accolade recognises the vital contribution of those in the private deputyship field, who safeguard the interests of vulnerable clients.

    Brachers’ submission highlighted the amazing work of our specialist Elderly and Vulnerable team, within our Private Client practice, who look after the interests of elderly and vulnerable individuals by supporting them in their legal and financial affairs.

    The team, led by Partner Mary Rimmer, were recognised for their extensive experience and sensitivity shown in supporting vulnerable clients in Court of Protection and Private Deputyship matters.

    Partner and Head of Private Client, Christopher Eriksson-Lee said: “We are delighted to have won the Best Private Deputyship award, which recognises all that our Elderly and Vulnerable team members do – both professionally and personally – to safeguard the interests of vulnerable individuals.     The ceremony was held on 20 April 2023 at One Great George Street, London. Brachers were also shortlisted for Best Probate Law Firm (Large).
