• Brachers has advised the shareholders of Rochester-based Infotech on its sale to private-equity-backed tech group, Air IT.

Infotech provide IT solutions with a focus on increasing efficiencies and productivity through the effective use of technology. Since the company’s inception in 1998, it has seen impressive organic year-on-year growth, concentrating on internal investment and developments informed by market-trend analysis.

Air IT is a nationwide managed service provider, supporting SMEs and internal IT teams to transform and succeed through technology, with specialist solutions in cyber security, business intelligence and communications.

Backed by August Equity, this is Air IT’s sixth acquisition in six months, as part of their ambitious buy and build strategy and focus on boosting their presence in the south east. Both companies share client-centric values and a forward thinking approach and the acquisition will see the Air IT group benefit from the addition of Infotech’s expertise in the financial, construction and manufacturing sectors.

The deal was led by Brachers Head of Corporate James Bullock with support from solicitors Raul Hernandez and Sunil Landa.

James said: “The acquisition of Infotech by Air IT brings together two ambitious and innovative companies and we’re so pleased to have been able to support this successful deal.

“With their shared focus on delivering the highest standard of service to their customers, I’m sure Infotech will continue to flourish as part of the Air IT Group. We wish them all the best for the future.”

Jason Foord, Chief Executive of Infotech, said: “This is an exciting time for us and it was great to have the team at Brachers on our side to ensure the deal was completed smoothly.

“I’d like to thank James, Raul and Sunil for their expert guidance and hard work in securing an excellent result for us within a very short timescale.”
