Considered to be one of the most prestigious awards in its field, the Family Firm of the Year award is divided into four regional categories. Brachers is one of five firms shortlisted for the Southern region and the only Kent firm to feature.
The family team is no stranger to accolades, being ranked as a Top Family Law Firm by eprivateclient for several years in a row.
Mei-Ling McNab, Partner and joint Head of Family, said this recognition was a testament to the strength of the team.
“Clients are at the heart of everything we do, so it’s incredible to be recognised for this hard work by being shortlisted for such a prestigious award. This is evidence to just how focused the team is on providing an outstanding quality of legal service to our clients through our collaborative teamwork.”
Mark Leeson, Partner and joint Head of Family, added:
“We know that it is this quality of the service we provide to clients that will make us really stand out as a firm, which this shortlist in the Family Law Awards demonstrates.”
The judging panel was made up of 12 highly regarded industry experts, including representatives of the Family Law Bar Association, Resolution, the Association of Lawyers for Children, and CILEx along with Family Law editors and publishing executives. Judges used the following criteria to base their decision for the shortlisted firms:
- Quality of legal services offered
- Recent reported cases in which the firm had acted
- Pro bono initiatives or services benefiting the local community
- Range of training and career progression of employees
The winners will be selected by an independent judging panel and announced at a ceremony at the Ballroom Southbank in London, on 27 November. Family Law Awards have published the shortlist of all award nominees online.
