• Brachers is delighted to be supporting the Mote Colts at Mote Cricket Club, becoming sponsor for the 2019 season.

The Mote Colts Cricket Club is committed to the development of young cricketers in Maidstone, coaching children aged between 6 and 15 and competing in three leagues throughout Kent. The club encourages as many young players as possible to get involved with the game, working with local primary schools and community initiatives to introduce cricket to children who might not normally have contact with the sport.

Mote Colts is part of the Mote Cricket Club in Maidstone, a popular and busy club with six adult teams and a range of junior teams too. Cricket has been played at the grounds in Mote Park since the nineteenth century – with the first-known match there between Maidstone and an All-England XI in 1854.

As well as sponsoring the Mote Colts, Brachers is keen to explore the possibility of local businesses using the facility to play matches against each other.

Nick Aldrich of Mote Cricket Club said:

“Brachers’ generous sponsorship of our Colts team is simply fantastic news and a great start to the new season! Their support will help us purchase more cricket equipment so that our young superstars can learn and enjoy cricket without their parents’ personal financial circumstances being a potential challenge. Our mission is that we as a club will have enough bats, pads, helmets, balls and gloves so that every boy and girl can play. Brachers’ sponsorship will be key to this and we are all extremely grateful.”

Joanna Worby, Managing Partner at Brachers, said:

“We are delighted to be supporting Mote Colts Cricket Club. Community is really important to us as a firm and there’s no doubt that the cricket club plays an important role locally. It helps keep children active and encourages them to develop their talents for the game. We want to help nurture grassroots community activity and, being in our home town of Maidstone, our support for Mote Colts feels even more appropriate. We would also be interested in hearing from local companies who are interested in playing some matches!”
