  • Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500 are the most comprehensive guides to the best law firms and lawyers in the UK and across the globe. This year the firm saw five practice areas ranked in the highest tier possible; Family & Matrimonial, Debt Recovery, Clinical Negligence (Defendant), Commercial Property and Health.

This year has been particularly successful for the healthcare team, who have been shortlisted for Legal Services Provider of the Year at the General Practice Awards and whose team head, John Sheath, was inducted into the Legal 500 Hall of Fame in July. Four lawyers in the team were also recognised individually by the directories.

The firm’s private client team was also recognised in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide and head of the team, Christopher Eriksson-Lee was ranked individually. The team has recently strengthened its tax expertise with the hire of new partner Alexandra Gordon, who was recognised as a ‘Next Generation Lawyer’ by the Legal 500.

Other notable successes include the inclusion of commercial partner, Erol Huseyin, in the Chambers Global Guide for his Projects & Energy work, the recognition of Head of Commercial Property, Sarah Gaines, as a ‘Leading Lawyer’ in the Legal 500 and the ranking of James Bullock, Head of Corporate and Commercial, in Band 1 of Chambers UK Guide.

The rankings from Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 consider the calibre of work undertaken as well as feedback from clients and other professionals. The firm received high praise this year, with the teams being described as “knowledgeable and professional and provide pragmatic advice”, “highly attentive, always available and willing to talk through any issues’”, “customer-focused and service-driven” and “responsive, proactive, tenacious and thorough.”

These latest accolades further demonstrate Brachers commitment to delivering the highest quality of service and care to their clients.
