Claire Williams, Partner in our Corporate and Commercial team, answers our five ‘60 seconds with’ questions.
How long have you worked at Brachers?
I started at Brachers back in 2003 when I left a City firm and made the move to Kent. After five years I went to another regional firm and now after 11 years I’m back for a second time around at Brachers, this time as a partner.
What made you get into law?
I was always interested in the corporate world and undertaking degrees in law and economics seemed to give me two routes in. Due in part to the influence of watching too many episodes of LA Law, I chose to qualify as a lawyer on leaving university rather than become an economist and the rest is history.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Be confident, speak up.
What’s been the top highlight of your career so far?
Acting on the largest deal ever in the self storage sector, so many challenges!
Sum up working at Brachers in three words
Quality, supportive, enjoyable.
