60 seconds with… Helen Stonham

In this week’s ’60 seconds with…’ interview, we speak to commercial property solicitor Helen Stonham. Helen acts in a range of commercial property matters with the vast majority of her experience lying in leasehold matters.

How long have you worked at Brachers?

Just under two years.

What made you get into law?

In all honesty, watching Legally Blonde too many times. I was always told I would be good at it, I’m quite bossy and I have an answer for everything!

What advice would you give to your younger self?

It will always be okay in the end. As a trainee solicitor you spend countless nights worrying about things that could go wrong but everything resolves itself in the end.

What’s been the top highlight of your career so far?

Qualifying as a solicitor just over four years ago, it takes a long time and a lot of hard work to qualify. It is a proud moment when your email footer changes from ‘trainee solicitor’ to ‘solicitor’!
