• KIMS Hospital is already the largest independent hospital in Kent and provides outpatient services, imaging and cardiology, surgical operations, physical therapies, and enhanced care from state-of-the-art facilities in Maidstone. This acquisition significantly expands KIMS Hospital’s geographical reach in diagnostic services and will provide MRI, CT, mammography, X-ray, private GP and physiotherapy services to patients around Sevenoaks.

    The deal was led by Brachers’ Head of Corporate James Bullock, and Commercial Property Partner Emma Andersen. James said:

    “The acquisition of Sevenoaks Medical Centre is a great move for KIMS Hospital, further enhancing its strong regional presence in the South East. It was a pleasure to work with Simon James and the KIMS Hospital management team on the deal and it is great news for Kent that KIMS Hospital is continuing to invest in the county.”

    KIMS Hospital’s CEO, Simon James commented;

    “I am delighted that Sevenoaks Medical Centre, along with the great team who work there, are now part of KIMS Hospital.

    “For people who live in Sevenoaks and the surrounding areas, this means they can choose to see a consultant and be diagnosed close to where they live. The centre is very accessible, opposite Sevenoaks railway station and with easy access from the A21, M20 and M25.

    “If patients need further specialist treatment or surgery, there is a direct and straightforward clinical pathway into KIMS Hospital in Maidstone. This gives patients in West Kent the choice of accessing healthcare within the county as an alternative to having to travel into London.

    “The commercial and property legal support provided by Brachers was invaluable in the acquisition of Sevenoaks Medical Centre by KIMS Hospital. Specifically, James, Emma and the broader team at Brachers provided sound advice in a proactive and timely manner.”
