• Brachers has won the hotly-contested Private Client Team of the Year Award at the British Wills and Probate Awards 2020.

The British Wills and Probate Awards highlight achievement and recognise the successes of those in the wills and probate sector.

The virtual awards ceremony took place on Thursday 22 October 2020 and was hosted by acclaimed broadcaster and journalist Jennie Bond.

Commenting on the awards success, Christopher Eriksson-Lee, Head of the Private Client team, said: “We are delighted to have won this prestigious award which reflects the hard work of the team over the last year. During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, our team went above and beyond to support clients by increasing our service offering through initiatives such as out-of-hours video conferences and online platforms to help clients through this difficult time. This recognition is all the more pleasing in our 125th anniversary year.”

Private Client Partner, Alexandra Gordon, added: “This is such a fantastic achievement and an absolute credit to the hard work of every single member in the team. In such a challenging year it’s been so incredible to see everyone pull together, especially over the last few months.”

This awards success is the latest in a series of accolades the firm has received this year. There has been recognition and success for a number of Brachers teams and individuals, including the Credit Excellence Awards 2020, Kent Law Society Awards 2020, Law Society Excellence Awards 2020, National Paralegal Awards 2020, and Managing Partners’ Forum Awards 2020.

The awards success comes on the back of a busy period for Alexandra Gordon who was appointed one of the youngest ever presidents of Kent Law Society last week, after holding the post of Vice President for the previous one and a half years.
